Lean Overview PowerPoint Presentation

Preview the Lean Overview Presentation

So, you are ready to start the actual lean training. Hopefully at this stage of the “game”, you have full support from the executive management and the ownership of the company. If not, you may want to check first Choosing Lean presentation to decide whether you need more ammunition to get a buy-in from the upper management.

It is useful to start with a Lean Overview presentation addressed to the employees, to get them familiar with the whole idea of lean, to get an understanding of the lean definitions, principles, benefits, tools and implementation steps.

This is exactly the purpose of this PowerPoint presentation.

The worst thing is to overload the employees with information. That is why I tried to keep it clear and concise, based on my years of experience teaching lean.

The emphasis is on the differences between mass production and lean production, between batch processing and one-piece flow as it applies to a manufacturing environment but also to any other value stream (whether paperwork, people or information are “processed”)

As is the case with all the training presentations on this site, every slide comes with notes for the lean trainers, so it makes it easy to teach, as it explains almost every slide in great detail.

You may wonder what animal is shown on the slides. I believe it is the picture of Lean Manufacturing as described by various practitioners and students in lean: a fantastic creature that nobody quite understands.

Well, I had fun looking at it and hope you’ll like it too.

Good luck with your training and, please, let me know if you find the material useful or if you have suggestions for improvement.
