5 Whys PowerPoint Presentation

Toyota uses this tool to identify the root cause of a problem.

In itself, 5 Whys is not a problem solving methodology, but part of the methodology.

Though it seems simplistic to find the root cause by asking Why? 5 times, it is far from being easy, as you may have discovered along the way.

Why? Mainly because the right thinking is not applied. And this determined me to create this presentation, hoping that you'll find it useful in teaching your people to apply correctly the 5 steps in determining the root cause of any problem, either on the plant floor or in the business transactions.

Practically, this methodology can be applied everywhere.

At the end of the presentation, you'll find two examples you can show and even transform one into a case study, using some props, if you want to get creative.

As a suggestion, look for an example from your own company that you can use, to reinforce the practical application of the methodology described in detail, step by step.

And, please give me your feedback, as always, to improve even more the overall efficiency of my presentations, for your benefit.
